The Central Board of Certification (CBFC) first put the Akshay Kumar-starring film OMG 2 on hold earlier in July, making it one of the most contentious films. The film underwent 35 edits, and the Censor Board significantly changed Akshay’s persona from being portrayed as a divinity to a messenger of Lord Shiva.
In response to the recent controversy, Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi also exhorted everyone to see the film. In Coimbatore, Akshay arranged a special screening of OMG 2 for Sadhguru and other Isha Yoga Center members, and after praising OMG 2, Sadhguru replied to the film’s “A” rating from the censor board.

On August 8, Sadhguru complimented Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 on Twitter while simultaneously criticizing the film for receiving a “A” rating from the Censor Board. In this situation, the “A’ Certificate should include Adolescents,” he tweeted. The most important place is there. Education on human biology and how to respond to a person’s biological needs in a dignified and responsible way are essential for the development of a country that is Fair & Just to all involved.
When Sadhguru tweeted something, Akshay Kumar replied, “Thank you so much @SadhguruJV.” I hope the message is understood clearly and in the right way.
In response to the concerns, Yami said in an interview with ANI on August 8 that “one would discover that there is nothing doubtful in this film. In this movie, a highly significant and delicate issue is brought up, particularly in relation to children’s education. The entire topic has been masterfully handled in the format of a courtroom drama. This movie has a lot of humour and enjoyment, and I’m glad to have a role in it.
Additionally, Pankaj advised viewers to see the film and assured them that they would get its deeper significance after doing so.
OMG 2 is scheduled to open in theaters on August 11. The cast of the movie also has Arun Govil, Govind Namdev, Fahim Fazli, Kabir Sadanand, and others in significant parts in addition to Akshay, Yami, and Pankaj.
